Bio: was highly regarded as a top prospect in Boston right after he was drafted, until just recently. Jacoby Ellsbury is now the next big thing in Boston as he sports more thing helpful to the Sox. Murpy is a leadoff/number two hitter with little speed and doesn't have much power either. He's become a prospect the Sox could now trade, but won't get as much as they would have been able too. With all the young outfielders the Sox have, it would be shocking to see Murhpy amount to anything more than a backup, at least with the Sox.
2007 Projected Statistics: .250, 1, 5, 5, 5
Fantasy Outlook: obviously he's not going to be with the team on Opening Day, he'll begin down in Pawtucket. By September he'll get a call up. At the moment he's the sixth outfielder I'd say, so even if there were two long term injuries for our starting outfielders, he wouldn't be starting everyday. Pena and Hinske are above him. Alex Ochoa could even possibly have the edge on Murphy as well.
